Club History

Our History
Formed in 2006
by John Humphrey, Tony Sheppard, Tony Sharp, Micky Harding and Robyn Sheppard.

With the new Pavilion on it's way to replace the old clubhouse, the Lions were born. Quickly entering the Colchester and District league and then eventually to the Ipswich & Suffolk league where our teams still play today.

The original founders guided the club for a large period of the clubs history from 2006 to 2021 by Chairman Tony Sharp, with the baton being handed over to Paul Stokes in 2021 during the COVID-19 period.

Paul remained as chair between 2021-2022 with Charlie Godfrey as vice, before Lloyd Garner was elected in 2022 with Dave Leigh as vice in 2023.

In 2024, Dave Leigh was elected chairman with the introduction of the new Lions logo as the club entered a new era and an expansion of the club to a record Nine teams, including our newly formed Lionesses.
